Napa & Sonoma Valley

So Sam and I took a much needed vacation to the the coast hitting the wine country and San Francisco. Minus always being car sick the valleys were beautiful. We spent three days in Santa Rosa. It was great. I'm posting a few pictures but i'm horrible about getting them in the right order.
This is Sam and I at Sterling Winery. You have to take ski lifts (lack of a better word) up to the top of a mountain where the winery sits. It was so pretty. We took Sunday and drove down the west coast. On our way we stop in the Red Wood forrest. It was so cool.
I love this picture because it doesnt matter how much time you give Sam to regroup he always looks like a cornholio in pictures. This one is special because I finally got his eyes open.

This was at the castle winery (i'm so bad i couldnt remember the names). We had a great group and lots of laughs. On our way up the coast or down I cant remember We stopped by the ocean and read The Last Lecture together. It was a great story if you havent read it.
This was our little picnic that we packed down to the ocean. We mostly fed it to the seagulls.

I love watching Sam's face when he is talking or thinking. You can tell exactly what he is going to say with his expressions. He was knee deep in a story. I think he was just checking to see if I was listening.

This is a castle (winery) that lookes extremely old but had only been completed a year ago. It took 11 years to build. Pretty amazing.
This is a truck load of grapes they were taking to crush. Its actually a very interesting process. We were lucky to hit Napa at their picking season.

Natalie,

I found your blog on Camie's. I hope it's ok if I check you out sometimes. You look so good. Sounds like you are doing really good too. I was out at MCC yesterday talking to Mrs. Hamblin about taking college classes and I saw Charles. He looked really good. It was good to talk to him. By the way I saw the special channel 2 news did on you basketball team. It was cool to see you on tv. That is really awesome. Also, I wanted to tell you that I used to love in Rhonert Park, CA. It is 20 min. south of Santa Rosa. My great great grandma lived in Santa Rosa and my Dad managed a Big O Tires ing Santa Rosa. It is soo pretty there. I am sure it has grown a lot since I was there last, but we really liked living there.
